Luxuriously Appointed Suites
Named for all of the blessings that we have found through opening the inn and for all of the blessings we hope to bestow on our guests, this luxurious second floor suite was designed to accommodate the blushing bride-to-be to get ready for her wedding day and then utilize the suite for her honeymoon night.
Named for the only thing that kept us hanging on throughout the difficult process of opening the inn, this suite is fit for a queen! This “Marie Antoinette-inspired” suite features a gorgeous French King-size bed with an ultra-luxurious fabric canopy treatment and fine linens.
Named because the inn is a dream come true and because we hope all our guests have sweet dreams, this room will allow you to feel like you have escaped to a French garden.
Named for all the sweet beginnings that will take place here, this third floor suite is the epitome of luxury and romance. Initially designed as a bridal suite, the entire third floor of the Southard House awaits the bride and groom-to-be, honeymooner, couple celebrating their anniversary, or anyone desiring a luxurious, romantic retreat.
History of the Southard House
The Southard House Bed and Breakfast Inn is located in Enid's Kenwood Historic District. This historic home was designed and built in 1912 by George Franklin Southard and his wife Lilla Hughes Southard.
Mr. Southard began his professional life as a clerk with Standard Oil Co., worked his way up to vice president of Solar Refining Co. and later served in France and Portugal as the General Manager of Standard Oil Co. While residing in Paris, George became personally acquainted with Samuel Clemens (Mark Twain), and the two men shared many stories of the America they knew.
